CHLOE
"[We] are both physicians, with busy, erratic schedules. We purchased Chloe at 9 wks of age from a pet store, as a "gift" for our 8-yr old daughter Zoe. We were both blissfully unaware of what owning a dog actually entailed! The first month was incredibly stressful for us, as we attempted to crate train Chloe, and teach her to eliminate indoors on wee-wee pads. Unable to work consistently with her, we began to despair of ever successfully housetraining her. We had no idea how to direct her high levels of energy and need for stimulation. We seriously wondered whether we had not made a terrible mistake in bringing this pet into our lives!
By a stroke of good fortune, we heard about Diane Podolsky and The Cultured Canine. We sent Chloe for Board and Train over our Spring Break vacation. During our time away Diane alleviated our concerns, and our daughter's puppy separation anxiety, by communicating with us regularly, with delightful emails describing her progress, and lots of great photographs! We were amazed at the depth and breadth of Diane's approach, and her professionalism, in dealing with every aspect of training, including socialization, biting/chewing habits, nutritional evaluation, and, our primary concern, getting her pad trained.!
Chloe returned to our home with a whole new set of skills. Her pad training was 100% successful. She is equally good eliminating outdoors, giving us maximum flexibility. Mouthing, which had been an issue before, was completely resolved. Chloe is confident and playful with all dogs and people that she meets, making new friends in the neighborhood almost daily! Most importantly, our anxieties have resolved, and Chloe has won a permanent place in our hearts and home.
