SNOOPY
The Cultured Canine was contacted by an adult daughter who was concerned about her mother's young Maltese. The energetic little guy was a handful, needing help with everything from housetraining to demand barking.
After consulting with The Cultured Canine, the whole family worked together to help young Snoopy succeed in his job as companion. His housetraining problem was soon solved via a board and train stay with Diane. During his weekly training sessions Snoopy learned he could earn treats and attention by doing tricks instead of barking. Diane helped the family find a groomer who would provide transportation for Snoopy. At Diane's suggestion, they hired a dog walker to exercise Snoopy. Lucky little Snoopy now has a team of people caring for him and he is a much cherished member of the family.
After the training was completed, the relieved daughter wrote us to say:
“…I’ve seen other trainers work with dogs, but nothing like Diane. She was so gentle and tuned in to Snoopy. She used techniques I’ve never seen before, like the clicker. Her genuine fascination with Snoopy’s learning process and her ability to communicate to us how he’s thinking and learning made the training session fascinating. She helped us see the very instant when Snoopy put together a new behavior in his mind. My Mom and I were breathless together with Diane in those moments when Snoopy would be thinking his little heart out, whimper in confusion, and suddenly understand and complete his task.
